ART3643 Video Assignments.
The following video is a compilation of moments from my students’ first two time-based compositing assignments. These videos were created using primarily After Effects and the Adobe Suite. This was many of my students first time using After Effects. The first assignment showcased in the video was intended for the students to get familiar with compositing basics in After Effects. The second assignment blended Maya and After Effects. Students needed to create and use an HDR image to light a model of their choosing and track it into live action footage. Both assignments emphasized creating a story around these visual effects, but the following video is a selection of moments from the students’ full projects.
ART3643 Clones.
This was a still image compositing assignment introducing concepts such as masking and alphas as well as narratively thinking about an image and its composition. All compositing was done in Photoshop.
